Maplisto ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Maplisto mobile application.

1. Information Collection and Use

Location Data

To provide the core functionality of recording your travel itineraries, Maplisto requires access to your device's precise location (GPS).

• Foreground Tracking: Location is accessed while the app is open and you are actively recording.
• Background Tracking: If you choose to continue recording while the app is in the background, location data is accessed to ensure your path is recorded accurately.
• Storage: All location data (itinerary points) is stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal location history to our servers.

Sharing Feature

The app includes a feature that allows you to generate a Google Maps URL to share your itinerary with others. When you use this feature, the coordinates of your saved points are encoded into a URL. We do not store or track these URLs.

2. Third-Party Services

We use Google Play Billing for in-app purchases (the Lifetime Pro upgrade). Any payment information is handled directly by Google. We do not have access to your credit card details or billing address.

3. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Deleting a journey or uninstalling the app will remove the associated data from your device.

4. Children's Privacy

Maplisto is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
